Create Flash at Home

Flash videos come in formats like FLV. The program Adobe Flash allows you to play videos in FLV format within your web browser on sites like YouTube or Hulu. If you have a video file that you want to create an FLV file at home, you can do so with some free tools like conversion programs or websites, online conversion. The program Adobe Flash is also free to download and use.

Instructions

1 Download and install Format Factory (see Resources). Click in the "Video" section and click "All to FLV." To add a file, click the video you want to use as the data source. Click "Start" to start back in the main screen, create the FLV.

2 Download and install Xilisoft (see Resources). Click "Add File" to add the source video. Select the flash option under "Profile." Click "Convert" to create the FLV. Xilisoft is free to use but has file size limitations for the demo.

3 Visit the "ConvertFiles" website. Click "Browse" to add the source video. Select the Flash option as your output format and click "Convert" to create the Flash video file that you can download. ConvertFiles is free to use.
